Game thread - #18 Men's bball hosts Iona (Sunday, 11/26, Noon MT)

Next up for (still #18 until early next week) Buff's men's basketball (4-1) is a quick 1 game homestand hosting the Iona Gaels (2-3) this Sunday at noon.

The game is scheduled to be shown on one or more Pac 12 Network channels. (More details and a link near the bottom of this post.)

Note- Not that they necessarily mean much if anything, but in the last NET Rankngs I can find for last season (dated 4/3/23), the Buffs ended up at #76, while Iona was #60.

Go Buffs!!!

Live video- Game is scheduled to be shown on the Pac 12 National and Mountain channels. For anyone with a subscription to any Pac 12 Network channel, I'm guessing the game will also be viewable on the Pac 12 App, or through a link at https://pac-12.com/mens-basketball/event/2023/11/26/iona-colorado.

As I already noted in the current WBB games' thread, MBB and WBB are offering Black Friday deals on their 1st conference home games being held in late December. In MBB's case, it's the 2 games this season where they'll be hosting the Washington schools.

 
Another game where Tristan looks like he’d rather be anywhere but in the court playing. WTAF?
 
Such a weird game. We're scoring efficiently, rebounding well and holding Iona to a low shooting percentage... but losing by 1.

Turnovers and bad perimeter defense.
 
Also looks like Iona didn't drop the Pitino philosophy of "if all 5 guys are fouling at all times the refs will be forced to let most of it go."

That's their style of play. And we're into the bonus at the under 12. I think every guy in their rotation has 2 fouls.

...And scary as hell. We'll need all hands to put it together for this one. My son is hearing from friends up there that this is basically the only game anyone up there cares about and it will be crazy. Playing us in any sport is their Super Bowl, World Series and World Cup rolled into one. Still pathetic.
