GAME THREAD: **** @ CU MBB Friday February 2nd @ 7pm on FS1

Defense was nails in 1st half. Gave up 8 points in the last 12 minutes & I think there was an early 3 in that.

We looked pretty bad most of the half but picked it up a little toward the end. The defense is making the utes work.

Walton playing very good tonight

Walton quickly developing as a legitimate big man on both ends of the floor. Still needs to get more physical and is limited in what he does on the offensive end but he is far ahead of what I expected to see from him at this point. With as thin as we are with big men he has been a pleasant and important surprise.

And having our other freshmen show up like they have gives a lot of room for optimism.

I've seen some ugly basketball in my day, and the first 2 minutes of this second half is definitely top (or bottom?) five percent so far...

edit: except for Mckinley.

Like the jump hook by Walton, he'll finish that once he gets stronger physically and gets his legs back.

Need to keep the intensity on defense. If they can’t score, they can’t catch us.

This
As long as the defense is controlling the game I don't mind them playing the same offense as has worked all night.

Some times it seems like when a team starts trying to kill the clock they lose their defensive intensity as well and the late bad shots turn momentum against them.
