Favorite win of the year! Hoping that changes after 02/23!

Honest question though, what are peoples thoughts on KJs 3 point shot. Feel like he gets good looks, and taking those shots helps his drive so much. Just looks like it comes out low, flat, and that he doesn’t get elevation on release. Does he need to go back to the drawing board in the off-season w his shot form? Or is it what it is and he should just take less of those shots knowing they won’t go in. Or are they hopefully just going to go in at a higher rate going forward?

I think his form is ok. Some serious offseason work to get that muscle memory set. He needs the 3 because like McLean said KJ gets bodied hard on his drives.

So from here on out I feel like LOB has to get major minutes, he's solid, versatile and Ruffin (stay healthy!)needs to get all or most of Gab and Ethans minutes, and probably some of Niques (would coming off the bench damage his psyche, or rather take pressure off?).
Ruffin and LOB should start. Clifford should come off the bench...or maybe just stay there.

Some media after tonight's win.

TEMPE, Ariz. — Colorado closed the game with a 17-3 run Thursday and the Buffaloes ended a six-game road losing streak with a 67-59 win over Arizona State at Desert Financial Arena.

The Buffs improved to 15-12 overall and 7-9 in Pac-12 play while ASU fell to 18-9, 9-7.

The victory also helped the Buffs avenge a home loss to the Sun Devils in early December.

Tristan da Silva led CU with 23 points and KJ Simpson added 12.

NEXT UP: The Buffs finish their trip to the desert Saturday with a 6 p.m. game at No. 8 Arizona (ESPN2). They then return home for three games to wrap up the regular season: Feb. 23 vs. USC (7 p.m.), Feb. 26 vs. UCLA (2 p.m.) and March 4 vs. Utah (3:30 p.m.).

The Pac-12 tournament then follows, running March 8-11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

TDS finally found it in a conference road game.

That defense was high level in 2H.

A lot of good things to say about tonight. I fvcking love that Tad completely outcoached Bobby in this one. Handled the press and kept that zone in his back pocket to spring it on him for the home stretch.

KOA noted that Cody Williams was at the game, got to see the Buffs play well. They said there was talk he could be #1 pick of the 2024 draft.
From his family's comments at the time of signing, I think he may stay 2.
If he's a top ten pick, he will be, he's not staying for two no matter what.

We get him for one year

TDS is the best player on this team and should be All PAC12
Him and KJ one more year with Williams and the rest of the guys developing, and maybe 1 or 2 really solid transfers, something special brewing
O'Brien and Ruffin should start, and as I said earlier, TDS needs about 40% of the offense running through him, and he could be a 30+ point scorer, and if the defense then adjusts to him, someone will be open, even LL

Man do I hate Bobby Hurley more than just about anything on this Earth

If he was going to do what 90% of top recruits do, he would have gone for big NIL money at a name BB school. He's coming here, because he and his parents like Tad and think he'll help the young man mature. I'm saying he stays 2.

add: after the game Tad was 'gushing' about how happy he was for the players, and he repeated something I love to hear, "these guys are really a tight group, really care about each other"

Starting LOB really made a difference in this one as he was hitting treys early and rebounded well (10 total) the entire time he was in. Ruffin had 7 boards and 0 turnovers in his 20 minutes of playing time that included a couple of treys for a total of 11 points off the bench.

Unlike the game in SLC, the Buffs were confident and calm for the entire game.

Can you imagine how we'd play if BOTH LOB and Ruffin started?!

THE SEASON: Colorado is 15-12 overall and tied for seventh place in the Pac-12 Conference at 7-9 after picking up a road win at Arizona State, 67-59, on Feb. 16.

The Buffaloes snapped a six-game road losing streak, it's longest since the 2018 calendar year (five games in 2017-18, one in 2018-19), and improved to 2-8 in true road games this year.

Colorado had entered the Arizona State game giving up 72.2 points on the road, but held the Sun Devils to 59 points, the lowest by a Buffaloes opponent on the road this season. It's the fewest allowed by Colorado in a Pac-12 road game since Stanford had 53 on Feb. 19, 2022. The Buffaloes are 20-3 in the Pac-12 era when holding their conference opponent under 60 points on their home court and have won the last 12.
...

ABOUT THE WILDCATS: No. 8 (AP & Coaches) ranked Arizona is 23-4 overall and second in the Pac-12 at 12-4. The Wildcats are 14-1 at home this season after defeating Utah 88-62 on Feb. 16. Arizona is the top scoring and field goal shooting team in the Pac-12 at 83.4 points per game while hitting 49 percent from the field. The Wildcats also lead the Pac-12 in rebounding (40.5 rpg) and rebound margin (+7.3). Arizona ranks last in the Pac-12 in scoring defense at 70.7 points per game.

National Player of the Year candidate Azuolas Tubelis leads the Pac-12 in scoring (19.9 ppg) and rebounding (9.3 rpg) while shooting 57.4 percent from the field. Center Oumar Ballo averages 14.5 points and 8.8 rebounds while shooting 65.6 percent. Kerr Krissa leads the Wildcats in assists (152) and 3-pointers made (69) while averaging 10.8 points per game. Courtney Ramey averages 10.8 points and is second in 3-point field goals made (66).

SERIES RECORDS: This will be the 40th meeting between Colorado and Arizona with the Wildcats holding a 23-16 series lead. Arizona won two of three meetings last year. The teams split the regular season series, both winning at home. The Wildcats got the rubber match, 82-72, in the semifinals of the Pac-12 Tournament. The teams split the regular season series, both winning at home. Arizona holds a 13-3 all-time lead in Tucson. The Buffaloes last win at Arizona came on Dec. 20, 1965.
