I'm a little disappointed that Coach Hawk was "pressing flesh" on his tour. Admittedly, I don't know what "pressing flesh" means, but it sure doesn't sound appropriate.

It seems as though I've been explaining myself a lot lately.

Another one of my (apparently) failed attempts at humor. I recognize that "pressing flesh" means shaking hands.

However, the term sounds disgusting to me, and if I didn't know better I would guess it was another reference to a "fruitbowl" or perhaps coitus.

Okay, cool.

I suppose the short quip has a built-in disgust factor since (if I remember right) it was born from politics/politicians.
 
No, I'm trying to find out if Walrus was tossing around some really dry humor, or if he really doesn't know what that old adage means.

"Walrus was tossing around..." Admittedly I don't know what this means, but it sounds disgusting.
