BOULDER – The University of Colorado junior Kahlia Hogg (soccer) earned CU Athlete of the Week honors Tuesday for their play during the week of October 6-12.
Hogg scored two goals for the Buffaloes in the game’s final 15 minutes as CU came back to defeat the Ducks 2-1 in Eugene, Ore. Colorado was trailing 1-0 until the 75th minute when she scored the equalizer and recorded her third goal of the year. Only 12 minutes later, she knocked in the game-winning goal off a rebound. The goal was her fourth of the season and second game-winner in 2014. It was her first multi-goal match of the season and it allowed the Buffs to sweep their weekend road trip for the first time since joining the Pac-12 Conference in 2011. Colorado improved to 10-4 overall and 3-2 in Pac-12 play.
This was the first award of the season for Hogg.
