I have something to say.

I would agree with that statement although I don't think they are overrated in the same sense Ohio State was. I hope we have the chance to play/expose them again this year.

I can definitely see OU having something similar happen to them this year as what happened last year. Remember that coming into the CU game, they were leading the country in offense and were destroying people on defense. They were a machine. An unstoppable force. A Scut Farkus, if you will...

Then, once somebody (us) punched them in the nose, they did what a lot of bullys do when they get punched in the nose - folded like oragami.

Right now, though, I wouldn't call them overrated. They are a very talented, deep and experienced team.

I'm gonna burn this place doooown....down to the ground!

Rise up and gather round!

When I read the thread title, a very old Metallica song came to mind.

For me, a kick ****ing ass Def Leppard (Pyromania aside, perhaps the worst band ever...aside from Foreginer, of course) song came to mind.

always liked High n Dry better than Pyromania

Fair enough, sir.

Anything that came before the power ballad phase was A-OK. What really put them down at the bottom, in my opinion was the lamest play on words ever..."Armageddon it" for "Are you getting it?" Lame. **** you Joe Elliot. Rocket was the icing on the cake.

Each band gets one power ballad. It's a rule. Got it? I'm talking to Motley, following Home Sweet Home with Without You. **** you!

You're just jealous that even the one-armed drummer tagged more ass than you could dream of. And Mr. Elliot, I'm not sure the Navy teaches you to count high enough for that.

agree 100%

hysteria was the end of def leppard in my book

No doubt.

Just like every cowboy's got a sad, sad song...

Not a bunch of sad songs. Just one sad, sad song.

Dude. Brilliant! Your seemingly simple two line post actually has layers.

Skiddy, you're truly an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, wearing a vest.

EDIT: Rep denied again. I musta really hooked you up somewhere a long the way, Skidmark.

CAKE! Everybody loves cakes. Cakes got layers!

PS: Just spread some Rep to RSSBot and try again.

The main reason I liked Hysteria was simply that I though we would never hear another DL album again. Of course, High and Dry and Pyromania were better; Pyro because it happened right at the beggining of Mtv and we finally had videos, as poorly filmed as they were.

No I like early Van Halen better too, like Slide it in better than the Whitesnake self titled album, like early Ratt and Motley better, and love Blue Murder. Early music is usually better, especially in Rock. Of course, all SRV is good. Wait, what was this thread about?

Motley should have stuck with the Shout at the Devil sound.

This is actually from a "Misfits" song..."I got something to say...I killed your baby today. Doesn't matter much to me as long as it's dead." Also, remade by Metallica.

Just saying...

Are you saying that his post about sad songs says so much??

Leave it to you Wally to take a kick ass thread about Metallica and old school Def Lep and make it about Elton John...

NTTAWWT... :smile2:
