****ing MORON SBN writer on the buffs

One question worth posing is whether the Buffs would have been able to beat Fresneck at the end of the year this year, as CSU did. I would tend to think so, but I most certainly would not bed the farm on it.

Beating the **** out of the lambs at the beginning of the season next year would go a ways towards putting this nonsense where it belongs. Too bad that is a long long long way away.

Good point, if they don't the Puffs will be home for the holidays again:lol:

keep convincing youself that all you need is football and corn
while you wear your right hand out watching porn
redneck...

I'll take a year off from bowling to not live in Nebraska thank you very much.

Unfortunately there there isn't any money in blogging (other than extremely nominal ad revenue) so anything Irish writes is purely driven by how he feels as a fan. Next season can't get here soon enough.

ooops.... busted.... :bang:

In case none of you have noticed, these "fan" boards are doing a lot, A LOT, of CU and Hawkins bashing. Frankly, the ones that do it make me want to puke. But thats me. I've been a fan sice the Fairbanks debacle. I and others have supported this program through the early trials of the Mac era. Frankly, you that are bashers make me sick. If Eddie and Mac believed/believe in Hawk, so do I. They knew/know more about football than you morons could ever hope to. My comments are addressed to the idots. Not the true fans. I'm just disgusted.

:bowdown::yeahthat::dito:

Good win for CSU, they saved their best for last.

CSU will be overconfident against CU next year as a result of their bowl win. They are in for a big surprise.

2009

CU 38
CSU 17

Are you serious?

They're going to be overconfident in September 2009 based on a close victory in an exhibition game over Fresno State 9 months earlier?

Doesn't even make the least bit of sense

Yes. Postseason success/failure routinely carries over into the following year.

That rule applies if:

1) you win the national championship
2) You're a massive underdog and you win ( The BSU rule)
3) The game is an unknown and you end up annihilating the opposing team

A 6-6 Non BCS team beating a 7-5 Non BCS team....not so much

Confidence builder? Yes

Arrogance builder? Coach should be immediately fired if that happens

End of the day CU laid the smack on CSU. While they should look at their season as a success and something to build on they'll still be the underdog and they'll have that mentality going into that game.

We should change the title to Moron Allbuffs writer on the buffs. dude its his opinion and you have your opinion on it too. How is he gonna be fired from a non paying job. A blog is about your opinion. I may disagree with his opinion but he has a right like you do. The Ralphie Report is by far the best buff blog or place I have seen in my life. I do not see you interviewing recruit. I.E. Diante Jackson, Clark Evans. Come on bro take it easy on the man.

Thanks man. I am the writer over on SBNation The Ralphie Report and only saying what I feel. I also said I think we will be better and we won't have to watch the Rams have a more successful year next year. I am, like most of us, frustrated with losing and being a second rate program. I know some of you guys come over and read our site so thanks a lot. We are trying to bring good things to the table like the Diante Jackson interview and will have a Nate Bonsu interview next week.

I assure you...I am not a ****ing Moron.

Go Buffs.

I will strongly dispute the idea that a .500 record in the MWAC is a more successful season than a 5-7 season in the Big XII, particularly given the outcome of the game between the two teams...

After reading your blog post, I have a question about this part...

"But" as defenders will say, "the Buffs have injuries, the Buffs are young, the Buffs have a tough conference, the Buffs have a tougher schedule, the Buffs had Gary Barnett kill the program, the cupboard was so empty, but, but, but, excuse, excuse, excuse." Wins is all that matters in this game and we aren't getting them.

Given the fact that the Buffs DID have injuries, the Buffs WERE young, the Buffs were in THE toughest conference, the Buffs DID have a tougher schedule (as in top 10 nationally tough...), the Buffs DID have Gary Barnett leave the cupboard empty, if not quite kill the program, just what changes would you, or do you believe the estimable Mr. Fairchild would, make that would have us getting those wins?? Specifics?? You can dismiss or blow off the FACTS about this season as "excuses", but that doesn't change the fact that those conditions did exist. If you want to make demands, make demands based on the existing conditions - ALL of them.

Right on. I am so sick of these second guessers. The reasons for CU's season record are legit. Now, could we have done better in, say, the aTm game? Sure. But there are legitimate REASONS we had a tough year. Not EXCUSES, but REASONS.

Yep, I am responding as my post says that this year is this year. Reason/excuses were evident. No one can disclaim that. No one. But next year reason/excuses aren't acceptable. It is time to better than the last three years. Most would agree. I am fine with excuses this year but in 09, RESULTS are the word, not REASONS/excuses/second guessers!. Go Buffs and Happy Holidays to you all.

Agree to disagree on things but 2009 is a new year and I am optimistic, that is what is good about being a fan. Their is always next year and when you got some talent, that is a positive. Go Buffs!

I fail to appriciate how CSU's victory has any bearing on CU's season.

My dissapointment in the 2008 campaign was established by weak performances against UT, KU and A&M, not to mention a complete embarassment in Columbia.

I agree that if the 2009 Buffs live up to my pre-season expectations for the 2008 team, that would make for a nice bowl game at this point next year. It sure will be nice to see the offense finally live up to it's potential. I'm looking at you O-Line & RB corps.

As for CSU, congrats on a quality win. Your RB is a beast.

I doesn't have anything to do with our season. It's really a joke that this was even brought up. This is going to be a looooong off season.
Already is.....watching these bowl games, knowing CU is not participating, is very depressing....

All I know is I'm sick of hearing excuses. Youth, injuries, and now the schedule. It is put up or shut up time for CU football. It's time to stop acting like 7 wins and a winning season is nearly impossible. It's not.

i do not get the impression that the coaching staff is now or has been focusing their precious time on making excuses. rather, i have observed that fans have remarked on factors that have played a bearing on why the season ended as it did. those factors have jack **** to do with next year. nor does discussing them with respect to last year's team indicate AT ALL a belief that 7 wins is "nearly impossible".
