Kalen Ballage - Falcon

I couldn't find a profile on this kid, if one exists, please merge. I watched this kid Friday and he may be the best high school running back I have ever seen in person. 6'2", 210, 10.9 100, don't know his 40, extremely agile and full speed within 2-3 steps. The program listed him as a junior. I heard rumors at the game that he has verbaled to Boise.

At one point the Fountain QB threw an interception at the Monarch goal line between the hash marks and the sideline. The CB, a fairly fast kid, had an open field in front of him and looked to a 100 yard pick six. Ballage, who was in the opposite corner of the end zone, caught him on the opposite 10.

As a reporter for Monarch's (the team Falcon played Friday) paper, I can confirm that Ballage is a junior, and yes, the CB with the interception is one of the fastest kids on our team, if not the fastest. He is so fast it's unbelievable, and I saw him break away from 3 tacklers simultaneously. He opened the game with a 53 yard-run, and it seemed no one on our team had a chance at stopping him.

EDIT: According to Scout.com, Ballage's 40 time is 4.39. damn.

I got to every one also! and awesome, I love to hear that!
but yeah, never seen a player like him in high school. Like our top 2 backs are really good, but Ballage is just on a whole other level

Thanks for the report, Superior. He has early offers from Boise State and CSU. He figures to get several BCS offers as well. We have been in contact, but it may not mean much.

8th in the 100 as a sophomore (Christian McCaffrey was 7th) as well.

Gotcha. Maybe playing in CO Springs hinders his visibility some. The buzz on skill position players in the 2014 class is building.
