Kickoff A Good College Football Weekend - Rutgers UNC Thread

Anyone watching tonight. Interesting to see how Rutgers bounces back after they got destroyed by Fresno State.

I understand RU lost alot of talent. But i didn't expect them to be this bad. They do have a awesome recruiting class this year though. #20 in the nation so far according to Rivals.

Heard the announcers say that the Rutgers coaches thought this team was the most talented they've had in awhile, I beg to differ.

24-6 UNC

Man, the Big East is pathetic this year--what are the chances that they get thrown out of the BCS when they reconfigure in a couple of years if the Big East continues to perform like this? It is a shame that one of these teams will 'earn' a BCS berth.

Sorry about the threadjack, but what's your opinion on the Jayhawks?

I am very intrigued to see them play tomorrow night. I don't think we know about a lot of teams in the Big 12 yet that includes CU, Oky St, KState and Kansas. I can't wait to see what Kansas has. My opinion is that a team with a good quarterback is probably a good team but the running game has been iffy at best so far and probably their biggest concern. It will depend on the secondary for me. The linebacker/front 7 crew is good but losing Talib has me curious how many big plays they may give up. Should be a good game tomorrow night. I love to watch Grothe play for USF.

It's still very early. I think RU can turn it around. How? I don't know. But it's possible.

Rutgers D is making North Carolina look like the class of the ACC. Hopefully, West Va's D makes our offense look like the class of the Big 12.

Mike Teel has killed them the passed two years. Bad quarterbacks on a lot of teams this year.

Totally agree. Teel was never that good, just surrounded by good talent. Last 2 years they caught defenses cheating up to stop Rice and Teel looked decent. RU sucks this year. Only time will tell if they remain a steady above .500 team. Schiano should've taken a better job when he had the chance.

Yeah I could see that but who do you sub for them? The Mountain West or the WAC? It seems like these conferences go in cycles. Don't forget that only two years ago you had WV, Rutgers, and Louisville in the top 10 with South Florida pulling upsets left and right. A couple of years ago people were saying we needed to reconfigure the Big XII to get rid of the terrible north. Now the north may be the power in the conference.
