Major shakeup on CSU staff

Larry has had 3 losing seasons in his career - lets not write them off yet.

Chuck Fairbanks had a college record 52-15-1 before mailing in a 7-26 record as head coach at CU.

Sometimes when the fire gets extinguished, it's hard to get it back.

He went 27-7 the year before last, graduated most of his talent, and lost his best player to injury this year.

He still went 18-16.

He may be a dick, but he can coach.

Zero question that the man can coach. He has proven it time and again. If he has his act together it wouldn't shock me if he finds a couple quality assistants, brings in some JUCO's and transfers, and wins 20+ games again this upcoming season.

The condition on that is if he has his own act together. If his head and focus aren't into it he could easily end up in rehab or at least in intensive therapy before the end of the season and his team not go .500.

Guy has at times been his own worst enemy which is why he is in Ft. Collins instead of making a bunch more money at a power conference school.

totally agree. though his iowa state team had eventual champ izzo and msu on the ropes and LE got T'd up to end it. that MSU team had big luck. cincinatti was the best team in the nation by a lot and kenyon martin broke his leg in the big east tournament. i saw that huggy team in person beat a pretty good Oklahoma team by double digits in Norman. wasn't even close, really. OU cut it to 6 at one point, huggy called timeout and cincy scored the next 8-10 points, gameover. they were really good.....they stretched the floor on D. OU was having a hard time starting their offense inside the timeline.
