Matches Thread-VOLLEYBALL has its 1st HOME matches of the season (Fri., 9/12/25- Arkansas, 6:00 MT; Sat.- Toledo, 6:00 MT; Sunday- DU, 2:00 MT)

Colorado has never promoted volleyball. Ever.

The two times we beat **** Nebraska, the crowd was more red than black and gold. The Fuskers sent busloads of fans.
 
I have always had this problem with CU athletics. without Prime or Mac back in the day, they have no hype man. Most of the coaches are pretty mellow. They need somebody who knows how to hype and market these teams. I think they turned to soccer as their second women's sport now after bball and they spend their time on that.
 
AD doesn't hype WBB. Coach Barry had to do her own hype and she had a team good enough to have sell outs. We had bus trips to Laramie, Fort Collins and the Air Force Academy for games. We had bus trips to the Big 8 tournament in Salina, Kansas of all the places where there was nothing to do.

For me, hype won't do anything until the players are on the team for more than a year.

One reason, I am enjoying volleyball. I have seen the players grow. I like players like this. I know we aren't good enough or get good enough players for the big time programs to come and dangle big oney at them, but I like this team.
