I didn't see the game, but wow, what a huge game from Higgins! Last year, I thought that there was a strong case for Cory to be named to the All-Big 12 First Team and had big expectations for him this year. I had been disappointed this year, he's still a great player, his shooting has been off considering how good of a shooter he is. Glad to see him turn in a huge game. I think we could be substantially more competitive next year with Higgins as a senior, an additional year of experience for Burks and Relphorde (he didn't play much at SLU) and if we could somehow land a juco big that is a capable starter.

i admit i thought that with Brackens back ISU had a chance to be pretty good. don't see how Mcdermott is coaching in Ames next year.

Was at the game yesterday. Good win for sure. ISU has some good talent outside of Brackins and Gilstrap. Talk about a wasted year for them.
Higgins, Burks, and Relphorde are as good a nucleus as we've had since I've been paying attention. If we would have had just one damn post player that could get nasty down low we'd be looking at a bubble team right now. If Bzz can get the job done on the recruiting trail after the season, and Shannon Sharpe is as good as we've been hearing, this team could be scary good next season.
