Mel Tucker leaves CU for Michigan State

How do you expect an interim to build a staff or recruit?
Recruiting would be an issue but the new coach would have 2 months to haul in a small class. All the jobs are filled unless Michigan state takes all our coaches.
If we can hold the majority of our staff together I’d be in favor of an interim

Can't blame Tuck for doubling his $$...really feel for the players and staff that gets left behind....If the Pac 12 schools don't wake up and get rid of the paper tiger, Larry Scott..the conference members gets what they deserve...The Big 10 and SEC have weaponized their TV loot and have left the ACC, Pac 12 and Big 12 in the rear view mirror. As Delaney has stepped down as the Big 10 commish...the Pac 12 should hire him or at worst hire him as a consultant. Even taking on Maryland and Rutgers is paying dividends as their hoop teams have produced..Scott has really put the conference in a bind.

Kids have to allowed out of their LOIs if they want after this kick in the balls, but msu should be blocked.
I get what you're saying, but I can't condone dicking over the kids. Not their fault & they should be able to pursue the coach they wanted to play for, even if that coach has shown to have no allegiances or loyalty to the school.

You can blame him for his sociopathic behavior however.

He was all over the radio yesterday reiterating his commitment to CU, he was at a donors meeting fundraising THREE HOURS before this news broke. Typically, in the professional world it's a courtesy to give your employer a two week notice- not lie to your boss and coworkers to the point where they plan the entire future of the company around you.

Like I said, this is sociopathic ****.

Not the outcome any of us wanted, but life goes on.

While this is certainly worthy of board meltdown, try to keep it together. Our AD will have a plan.

that's the problem: it's business, not sports: contracts, one's word and honor no longer exist. paying players will aggravate this. how can anyone respect tucker as a man? 3 times Tuesday he was on Denver radio saying wasn't leaving. F' tucker in the arse. Roll Tad! Does this mean signed recruits can decommit? how many kids did mel lie to?
Support the recruits
They are here
They want to play
Do not throw the baby out with the bath water

No it's not. Tucker was playing his role as CU HC, saying things that would help him in that role, right up until decided he wasn't going to be CU's HC any more. This is simply the way it is. Better to understand that going in.

DOESN'T MAKE IT OK OR RIGHT!!!! I RESPECT PEOPLE WHO DO THE RIGHT THING, NOT THOSE WHO DO WHAT THEY WANT JUST BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT IS

So... doing the things a sociopath would do? Manipulating people while giving off the impression of sincerity? Like a sociopath?

Chev or EB are the only choices!!! You need to passionately say that your coach WANTS to be here, that we can be special and that we are in this together! Get your negatives about Tucker out, but stay positive about the recruits and the team!

Yea, I gotta say it's Chev as well. Have to keep as much of the structure in place as possible. It's a risk, but what do we have to lose at this point?
