To score under 100 is an amazing team accomplishment. Go Buffs! Great showing from he Pac-12.

Colorado unofficial results. (Sure not too big a deal for him, but looks like senior Jake Hurysz may have missed All American by one place.).

Anyway, hope these team results hold- ANOTHER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!:

By the way- awesome and somewhat surprising finish for the Trees. (I can't remember any predictions with them getting a podium spot, let alone 2nd.) Their score of 98 is way below what the Buffs won with last year (149), and would have been low enough to win it all in many or most years.

Oregon on the other hand must have had A LOT of issues with it's 3-5 runners, as they came in 6th in spite of having the rare 1-2 individual finish.

Wow. It looks like that's 5 All-Americans from the Buffs men's team! Plus, 1 more was only one spot out of All-America status. Crazy. Truly a great team!

Glad to see emergence of Ammar Moussa and Ben Saarel at the front. The future is in good hands.

Also noticed that another local kid did well. Scott Fauble (Wheatridge) running for Portland finished 12th. A nice finish to his collegiate XC career.

(Expletive) deleted (Watergate reference!) my silly comments.

Thanks GoonieBuff for steering me right.
(I once again prove that the (stereotypical and unfair) Dumb Blond moment is nothing compared to the Dumb Aging Balding Man moment (DABMM?).)

Edit- Actually, looking at it, this picture is a little weird. It's showing what looks to me like Ben Saarel coming in, with 4 other Buffs there to greet him. Unofficially, though, he's showing as the 2nd Buff in. Hmmm???

I now hope the Buff results hold and I'm just missing something. If Mr. Saarel did finish a little after Pierce Murphy, as the picture indicates to me, that might make the championship MUCH closer, although the Buffs would still be the winners, just by less points. (Of course, knowing me, I'm probably just missing something obvious to the rest of the world.)

The pic is from the Pac-12 championships. Nothing to worry about.

I was mostly referring to Stanford as second place wiith the under 100 comment. Sorry it wasn't clearer, as I see how it looks now. Mad typing congratulating the Buffs at the same time as looking at the Pac-12. Great day for the Buffs. Hopefully we keep things going in the other sports.

Indeed. Agree on all points.

A few tweet pulls:

As the below tweet indicates, great for the Buffs (both for recruiting, and the talent to maximize the recruits' talents when they get here) to have THE legendary coach in a sport (Kind of like a Saban or Coach K, only MASSIVELY Cooler)!!! (Assume ski coach Rokos may also get a similar response in skiing circles?)

Congrats also to main distance Assistant Heather Burroughs, who Buff runners also always rave about, along with Asst. Coach/ recruiting coordinator Nelson, and any other coaches who helped in this effort.

And, it looks like Rick George may have been there (or had a designated photographer)? (The below are 3 of many photo tweets from his account.)
