Official 2016 Coaching Carousel

There are definitely some Notre Dame recruits to go after if things fall apart there. Starting with Elijah Hicks (played under Mos at Las Mirada).

$5MM a year is a lot to pay for that result.

kinda seems like what ATM is all about. Aggy missed a real chance to take a big step forward as "the" team in Texas with Mack's last couple years and Charlie's worst record ever for a Texas coach. coming off Johnny Football and big SEC money. i thought they would step up with Francione and Mack "can't win the big game" in the early 00's as well.

aggy=aggy?

they are the same top 15 recruiting classes and 8-9 win team they were in the Big XII. i not a fan of Sumlin, really. he's surfed Briles' guys and Case Keenum at UH and then he gets Manziel. supposed to be some offensive mastermind but it was Kevin Wilson who called the plays on those good OU teams with Adrian Peterson and Sam Bradford.

i wouldn't. but, can't blame a guy for trying. coaching in the NFL means you can get fired 4-5 times and still get the same job somewhere else. best job frat going.
I get ya but you'd think recruits would've heard about this by now. It's a bad look imho.

Can't say I saw too many SDSU games this season, but Tony White seems to get a lot of buzz for a MWC guy. He'd be a good fit recruiting area wise. Not sure how lauded he is for his coaching abilities, but maybe best DB coach ever MM is down to coach him up on that aspect?

Got to wonder what Chip is gonna do and whether a college program will make an unexpected move by firing their coach in order to get him.

17th in the country in total defense and appears to run a 3-3-5.

Some big money programs out there with shaky coaching situations and now that Chip Kelly is becoming available it could get interesting

If I'm the UCLA AD I'm firing Mora tonight and hiring Kelly tomorrow morning. UCLA would get a massive upgrade and Kelly would be happy because he would only have to go 1 county over to do most of his recruiting. Win/win

Chip Kelly to NE as OC after McDaniels leaves for a HC gig.

Kelly with Belichek would be fun to watch. What a clash of egos.
Haha I was somewhat kidding, but they have tremendous respect for each other and BB actually brought him in as a consultant back when Chip was an OC for New Hampshire. NE is all about business, if Chip were to go there, I can't imagine they'd clash.

Unless Chip is adamant about being HC, there is no way the NFL lets him leave.

I would not want to be a P5 coach on the hot seat (or negotiating a contract) while both Miles and Kelley are unemployed.

I thought they would try to go back to more of a spread offense considering their struggles up front this year.

I know snap hires are not the end all and be all, but why does CU seem to be so slow to pull the trigger on hires when others seem like they always have a plan B n their back pocket? Whittingham I get, he has to hire a new OC every year, but others seem to move like they have a game plan. CU always seems surprised and slow to bust a move.
