Official Buffs vs. TCU Game Thread

Speechless at this point

OK, hear me out, I actually think you consider playing McCown from this point on

Neither QB may be the answer
I want to see more Shrout. They put him in after making idiotic decisions and letting B Lew again prove he is ****ing garbage and wasting the game. You could very well be right, but I want a bigger sample.

Such a more interesting topic than this Dorrell led game.

JFC I'm glad I didn't bet, even with a 14 point dog. As soon as Dorrell started Lewis in the 2nd half, a sex toy forum would have been vastly more entertaining

The announcers said that Sanford told them that he had never seen more reckless or wild throws from Shrout.
We have two extremes
No throw vs Wild Throw
McCown is deadly accurate and super football smart.
Get him 10 more pounds of muscle and put him in the last 4 games

Shrout was set up to fail and still had some success. First drive from the 1 yard line? How many reps did he get with the first time during camp? BLew faced a defense geared to stop the run, with 0 respect for him as a passer, Shrout is facing 8 men dropped into coverage, or 5 man zone blitzes, because TCU knows there's an actual QB at the position, and he's forced to throw.

The answer at QB hasn’t played tonight. I’m not sure if the answer at QB is even on the team. Maybe McCown is the guy but neither Lewis nor Shrout are. And with this defense it doesn’t matter.

Feeling validated I didn't renew my season tickets. This team is exactly what I thought it would be. No play makers and vanilla, uninspired play calling on both sides of the ball. No positives at all. They have a real shot to go winless.

man, old yeller me now.

Not sure it will matter who the QB is with this OL. Not enough size and talent. Wash.Rinse.Repeat.

I think the defense has me more upset than the offense. My god do we miss Landman. The middle is open wide and soft. I love the idea of Barnes on the inside...but I don't feel like I see him plugging any holes. Soft and unathletic. I feel like if the pieces were used differently on offense something might be cobbled together to rack up at least some points. I don't know if this defense could stop anyone though. (It took TCU a half to shake out the offseason cobwebs and then we looked slow and soft and completely vulnerable).

The D played incredible last year as well in opener, against TA&M, with an incompetent offense.
They became defeated. Same issue this year with new coaches and players. Dorrell blows
