Official Colorado vs. Oregon game thread

They are going to run the score up.

This is the same thing we've seen all month. Kelly is trying to run something defensively that we simply don't have the talent yet to do in my view. Its on him to meet what he has in the middle.

He hasn't done that.
I think it's more than just that. Guys literally stop running to the ball when one guy starts to make a tackle. Thus, if the tackle is broken, big plays happen. Good defenses fly to the ball and finish in bunches, not one player while the others watch. Maybe that is still coaching, maybe the team is flat, but not hustling to the ball isn't scheme.

We don't have P5 level blocking TEs to put in, don't have quality extra linemen, don't even have a starting 5, Can't do misdirection when linemen can't hold a block long enough for it to develop.

Our guys are getting dominated in one on one matches, doesn't matter what you run.

I have zero question that by this time next year we will be much better.

Prime has done an amazing job of reversing the fortunes of this team but we simply don't have the offensive linemen yet to match up with top talent, Oregon has top talent.

We need to be realistic.

Had we kept Dorrell or hired another like him we would be 0-3 right now and Oregon would have their bench in a long time ago.

It's a process.
When Boise State beat Oklahoma back in the day, they were outmanned at every single position, but were creative enough to scheme against them by using the opponent's aggression and tendencies against them. We are trying to actually go at them straight up and losing every spot

Not trying to be a dick, so do not treat me like a dick

Target on our backs. Fake punts and all the rest are what happens. I’m confident that the staff knows what has to be done to get to this level.

I hope we can make it respectable as they are not going to take their foot off our neck. We have to stop them.
This. If we don't do something our score will be like Hawaii and that other bitch team they played. We just got fight a bit here.

I love Weaver and Horn Jr but without Travis drawing double coverage, it's hard for them to get the separation they get with Travis without Travis in the game.

2 has to throw the ball out of the bounds anytime he's out of the pocket. If he's in the pocket, that's just SOL then.

I absolutely believe in Coach Prime. We have had an excellent start this season. We all knew that we couldn't fix 100% of our problems. We could make this game closer if we were healthy. We are NOT as healthy as we were in games 1 and 2. I still believe in this program. We are going to have these days.
Exactly. I knew this game was a loss and I'm not even mad. Obviously they have a long way to go but I'm still thrilled at where we're at. Not many coaches could turn around literally the worst team in CFB this fast. It's amazing how short some people's memories are.

This game will teach our guys a valuable lesson too.

Agree with you-but that's been going on all month. It isn't like Oregon has exposed us. We've gotten away with it because TCU had no tape on our offense, Nebraska's one dimensional, and CSU was so undisciplined it wasn't even funny.

We don’t play Oregon potentially for a long time. Would not doubt Lanning purposefully runs up the score, and big time

Forget scheme & game plan.

Forget talent & personnel matchups.

This is the 2nd straight week the opponent has wanted it more than CU.

Nothing pisses me off more than that.
They said they wanted it before the game but it looks like Oregon wants it more. Especially in the trenches.

And hopefully get the hype away from the program for a little while after Big Noon leaves next week.

I'm good with no more of that after the near loss to CSU and this performance.

Urban Meyer told us this.

It'd still be nice not to lose by 70.
