CU has one of the strongest, if not the strongest, Club Sports program in the nation.

I felt it deserved its own thread.

Especially since, based on the successful transition we've seen with WLAX, it appears that many of our Club teams are strong enough that CU could transition to varsity and enjoy immediate success.

Whether that happens or not, though, these teams can be celebrated on their own.

Main Website (all sport clubs): http://www.colorado.edu/recreation/club-sports

Many of the individual sport club sites are currently under construction as they transition from being a bunch of independent sites to being on the colorado.edu server. Will update as they come available.

Looks like the cycling team is putting in great work also!

Might be helpful to put the twitter links for the various teams in the OP?

Probably need to turn do a Table in OP. Sport | Website | Facebook | Twitter

If I may make a suggestion, show how these individual teams have finished over the last 5 years in national rankings to put it into perspective for those of us who have no idea about what is happening and add it into the OP.

It's a good suggestion. I'm curious, too. Seem to be a number of national championships.

Congrats to women's club lacrosse! go get them Dogs tomorrow.

Daughter played on one of the two club soccer teams. I'll tell ya, it was pretty intense and required a lot of time and effort. I'm not sure how they do it, but they had, like, a Level 1 team and Level 2 team. She was on the Level 2. The varsity actually recruited girls every so often from the "1" team. At any rate, they did road trips and the whole bit. Her team got 2nd in the "National Championship" for whatever level she was in. The toughest thing were the fees. She had to pay, like, $1,500 a season plus travel. It got to be too much for her and she dropped it.

Looks like the Men's lacrosse team is at their (Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association, (MCLA)) National Championships, being held at UC- Irvine (yesterday and today) and, for those who advance, Chapman University (looks to be in Orange, CA) Thursday and Saturday.

Per their twitter, the Buffs won their 1st round game yesterday 17-6 (over UC- Santa Barbara) and are facing Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo) in the 2nd round today at 5:00 MT. At least per the pole (http://mcla.us/polls/2016/week_10), looks like the Buffs might be considered a SLIGHT underdog today, as they're "only" ranked #5, while Cal Poly is #3.

The Championship's website is http://mcla.us/tournaments/championships
Looks like live stats for today's game may be available at http://mcla.us/game/18471
Also, looks like the Buffs' twitter acct. was very good at giving updates during the game yesterday- https://twitter.com/CUMensLacrosse

Also, for future reference (may want to include the info and link in the OP?), looks like next year's home lacrosse games (as I believe hockey games are also) will be available to be seen via video stream-

Congrats to the triathlon team! (Didn't even know it, but looks like they are a dynasty.)

Congrats! Amazing streak of championships!

*Of note, Women's Triathlon has been an emerging varsity sport and reaches its full varsity allotment of 6.5 scholarships in 2017-18. Why not make it varsity at CU? Would allow us to add Men's Tennis or Volleyball (each are 4.5) while getting a Title IX bump? NCAA is even offering grants to schools that want to start a varsity program in Tri. This seems like such a natural for CU.

Best of luck to the cycling team in (and I assume around) Grand Junction this weekend at their National Championships!

Looks like the Men's Club lacrosse team (look to be the #3 seed) is in Orange County CA*** for their national championships. Per the below Instagram, they squeaked by FSU (of the Florida persuasion) 12-11 in triple overtime yesterday in the 1st round, and now face #6 seed Cal today (looks to be scheduled to start at 6:45 PM local (Pacific) time, so 7:45 PM MT).
(***Anyone interested and in the area, per the Championships' homepage- "The first two rounds are on the campus of UC Irvine, with the semi-final and final games at Chapman University." See below homepage link for more details.)

Go get'um Buffs- beat the Bears!

live video stream for Cal game might (???) be available through https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAqTU8hyLJQYr3h0zc1UeQA
(CU gave a live stream link through its instagram for yesterday's FSU game before it happened (note- can be replayed at ), so assume the Cal game may also be streamed through the lacrosse league (MCLA) Youtube channel linked above. If I remember and see it, I'll post the lacrosse team's instagram if they give a link before gametime.)
