Official Signing Day Thread

Hmm. Prime himself set the standard for a great day with multiple big time surprises. Right now we are not even holding on to our biggest recruit. Buff **** occuring.

The rankings where we measure all of the players entering the program to gauge talent infusion? Or the one where we arbitrarily remove the bulk of our class because they came from colleges instead of high schools and pretend we only gain the latter?
Heh, dude, it's a fun fact. But you go ahead and make it into whatever you want.

Correct me if I’m wrong, looking at this class, HS/transfers, no white recruits? Not even a small slot receiver? No fat kid from KS on the OL/DL? Also not even a whiff of a CO kid?
There's a hater narrative around this, unfortunately.

Simple answer is that we have a black coach who has been given freedom to build a program that celebrates black culture and social norms... so CU has a better pitch right now to black players than white players. For white guys, there's not as much ammo in recruiting to overcome recent on-field results so we're able to punch above our weight more with black prospects. Since the black players CU can sign are better than the white players we can sign at this time, we're signing black guys.

That's not racist, just as it wasn't racist that CU generally has a disadvantage with recruiting black athletes since CO has a low AA population compared to a lot of other options. People make decisions based on emotion (what feels best to them) and justify with logic. Coach Prime's program has advantages with black players over white players on "feeling right" at this stage of the rebuild.

I don't want to say that there's nothing to see here because I think it's significant - maybe a game changer for CFB norms - but I don't personally have much reaction to the idea that with most of the players and top talent being black you want to build your program with an emphasis on the priorities of black folks beyond thinking "Duh. Of course you should do that. Why isn't that the norm already?"

The guy who said we don't want to become the Grambling of the West, so we better start recruiting CO kids? Ha what a clown
Yeah after he said yesterday: “we recruit too many African Americans” and need more Colorado white kids on the team.

Bro posted that under the same name as his LinkedIn lmao what a rat bastard. Using AA doesn’t make that statement any less bad
