Other games weekend of 9/13-9/15

Nebraska was unable to convert a punt fumble by Troy to seven points but kicked the FG. 17-10 Troy.

This is a win-win. Every game NU wins makes us look better-every time they lose.....its just funny. Let's not kid ourselves though-they're a team that was drastically overrated going into the season. I'd argue at the end of the year the butt-whooping we put on CSU will look better.

UCF, USF, and Houston are really good G5 jobs.
Including Boise State, UCF is the best of those G5 jobs. #4 program in Florida is preferable to being the #6 program in Texas, #5 in Florida or #1 in Idaho.

not to mention at UCF the recruiting is in your backyard. Nebraska is a big ask for a blue chip....no one really cares about NU in Chicago/Big 10 media markets and UM and tOSU have first pick of the litter.....Sparty, PSU and Wiscy down the line....Lincoln is hind teat.

I have thought so as well in the past, but not sure I buy the notion as a great job anymore.
Why? Sure seems like admin and fan support is there, and depending on Miami's probation status, recruiting potential varies from "outstanding" to "unbelievable"

I think Florida and Texas are similarly overrated jobs.
I think there is now a bigger issue at these types of Schools. They have such huge boosters who want their hands on everything. Its an issue when your AD can't do their job.

UCF, USF, and Houston are really good G5 jobs.
I'd think Boise too.

Boise has reached it's ceiling as a job.

They have had a great run and likely will continue to dominate the MWC but hard to see them consistently being the top G5 school very often in the future as they have been in the recent past.

The Florida schools and Houston have a big advantage in available talent, each sits in the middle of huge recruiting pools. They also have a huge advantage in terms of potential program funding. Boise is in an area of limited population and corporate resources. In the last decade Boise has lost a number of major companies that were big contributors to the program.

Houston and Florida in comparison have a much bigger potential base of donors to draw from. Also much more competition for those donors but it's amazing how winning can get their attention.
