Post Spring Depth/Rep Chart Discussion Thread

I think it's best to assume he's never going to play a meaningful snap at CU. If he does great, but I think it's a long shot. Wish the kid all the best and a full recovery.

Have to give him credit, he has worked his butt off and done everything he can to come back.

Almost have to wonder if they give him this year then sit down with the specialist and look at if it is best for him and the program to give him a medical retirement and free up his scholarship for somebody else.

He would still get to complete his degree and would have access to full medical and academic support.

I'm certainly not a doctor but when do they have to start seriously asking how much longer they keep trying.

I think he broke a bone in his foot or something. I don’t want to guess or speculate on injuries. My hope is that it is just a training injury unrelated to his other injuries. Fingers crossed.
Tendon.

Everything you bring up is something that I’m sure the Moretti family is discussing with each other, CU coaches, trainers and physicians.

Let’s trust that process and support whatever decisions they make with the complete info they have.

Also, we should never break injury news here, post rumors or speculate. Let’s respect personal medical privacy and go by actual medical reports.

I do not want speculation or advice or opinions on what he “should do” from the AllBuffs peanut gallery. It’s not our life and we won’t ever know the whole story. We just need to be supportive of Jake & the program. That’s our role here.

P.S. To be clear, this wasn’t a personal call out. You were good. This post was preemptive to set the tone for what is acceptable on AB with this or any other injury situation.

Nik hit the nail on the head with this. I'd respect any decision he decides to make with his situation.

Nerve injury.

Drop foot.

Then brace.

Then another brace.

Then surgery.

Then setback.

Picture in boot.

All public from other places.

I love Jake.

Gonna be a great success.

Keep up.
To further clarify, the original injury which he suffered at an Ohio State camp and caused him to miss his senior season was "tore his ACL and stretched his peroneal nerve." https://www.denverpost.com/2018/08/13/cu-lineman-jake-moretti-recovers-from-injury/

Injury first reported June 17, 2016. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio...rs-knee-injury-expected-to-miss-senior-season

So we're right at 3 years in the process for Jake.

Yes. Long, long road. I can’t read DP. Was that a non-contact camp injury?

The nerve thing is the biggest issue. You can come back from an ACL, "stretched it", as far as the nerve, any of you guys know about that?

DP seems to not allow any free reads. Every single article linked there gets hijacked. Put an ad on there or ask some survey question. I'm never going to subscribe to your P.O.S. fish wrap.
