Recruiting Calendar News & Notes

What's most striking to me is that 7/14 B1G members during this period couldn't recruit in the Top 40 despite the resources they were afforded. But they are assumed to be safe in realignment
When you go through the list of uninteresting and bad ratings programs in the P2, the vast majority reside in the B1G. It has actually been a very uninteresting conference outside of Ohio State and Michigan with the occasional PSU, MSU and Wisconsin/Iowa

And how much of the Wisconsin & Iowa success is due to playing half their schedules or more against opponents who didn't recruit in the top 40?

Honestly, the ACC has objectively been a better conference than the B1G but they have a huge money gap because they have a 2nd fiddle media deal with ESPN based on overlapping much of the SEC while the B1G has been the premiere property of FoxSports. It's been as good at the top with better depth - especially when you include Notre Dame as a quasi-ACC program due to scheduling alliance and Covid year full membership.

We have the fewest commitments of any team in the Top 100. WTF? I mean, our average rating is super duper. But……six? Really?
