DLs is what you need to beat them. If you can't move the line of scrimmage into their backfield and disrupt things, Oregon destroys you.

I still have a feeling he won't be at Oregon long. Whether that's from arrogantly thinking he can coach in the NFL, getting nailed for his rampant cheating, or for some combination of the two, remains to be seen.

Spot on prognosis here. If you want to beat them, you have to bring nfl qualities to your defense, speed and strength, penetration into the backfield. Gotta force the players into putting the ball on the ground.

somethings never change - you need size and speed - look at the bowl games this year - all offensive shootouts!! Now look at the championship game 2 defensive teams :rolling_eyes: so defense or offense??
 
you also need some stud lb'ers that don't over pursue and get washed out of the play. one cut back and they are in the end zone...if the play action off the zone read doesn't kill you over the top...
