Ricardo fired

^^^^ This. He put us back on the map. He struggled but after Harrington he was an upgrade. I hope he lands somewhere and does well. He lifted us out of face down in the gutter

You're absolutely right. And Harrington was an improvement over Miller, too.

Miller was a bad concept. a bounce pass, slow it down X and O guy in a Big Eight with Norm, Tubbs, Brown, Johnny Orr....all scoring a 100 a game, literally. something went wrong in Crazy Joe's time. his first couple teams showed some promise and he was trying to go "up tempo", use the altitude, play an up and down game....and then it went south in a hurry for some reason.

Back to Patton, does anyone remember when he had the team sleep on cots in the CEC as way of saying that we need to defend our home court? I think it was before a game against KU and I think we ended up beating them, or we at least played them tough.

played them tough, but had no business. i think that was one of the Lafrenz/Pierce teams. sleeping on the cots was maybe the first game or 2nd game after being named interim after Joe H. lost to Southern Utah and was canned (i was at the dubious loss).

for many many years KU@ the CEC was the first conference game.....which sucked because CU was always still on Xmas break so the students weren't here. to his credit, and i emailed him about it, that was one of the first things Bohn did to fix. he fixed it on his own without my meaningful input, but it was criminal to us. we still sold out, but who was buying those students tix ya think?
