Wow... does anyone have class anymore? Though, I don't really blame him... Will he coach WVU in the Fiesta Bowl?

I would think you could even pull some of their players at this point in time.Maybe we can pursue a couple of WVU recruits that might be wavering

It all depends on which side of the deal you are on - Hawkins left BSU about this time of year for Colorado - good for Buffs but tough time (for awhile for the Broncos)Wow... does anyone have class anymore? Though, I don't really blame him... Will he coach WVU in the Fiesta Bowl?

It is a business, but when these coaches recruit they largely sell themselves and their staff to the kids; the school is often secondary; they look the boys in the eye and tell them they want to make them into college players and they get the kids to believe in them and their program. When they leave that breaks the trust. It is a business for the coaches (most of them) even though they try to make it more of a bonding - mentoring thing. It's not a business for the players and recruits - I think that is the rub. It's a business. He didn't do anything wrong. Big deal.
Blazin'
agreed with all your points, but these coaches have to manage their career as well... maybe they have a desire to coach at ND, Michigan or the pros.It is a business, but when these coaches recruit they largely sell themselves and their staff to the kids; the school is often secondary; they look the boys in the eye and tell them they want to make them into college players and they get the kids to believe in them and their program. I guess Michigan must have been impressed by that performance WVU put up against Pitt in the last game of the year..
I think its a bad hire by Michigan..
I agree, and the maize and blue are second on my rooting food chain. What I'm wondering is how well Rodriguez's teams have performed against ground-based vanilla offenses in the past. The spread offense stuff might help them against Oregon and (oy) Appy State, but if they can't stop a meat and potatoes style offense they're gonna get absolutely massacred in the Big 10.
I suspect Ryan Mallett will hand in his transfer request any day now.

WVU fan is not taking this one real well. I can't really blame them, they were rolling and were likely to get quite a bit better over the next few years with RR at the helm. They were in the mix for the MNC until Wanny, his porn star mustache and the Panthers came along.
RR flirted with Bama 12 months ago also.
