Running QBs vs CU - What memory most triggers you?

I think it was the 82-42 game against Oklahoma. Not sure about that. But a second string sooner QB named (I think) Shepard gained 151 yards rushing on 3 carries. On his last carry he waived derisively to the defenders as he went by them, only to tear his hammy on the play. I was happy with the 42 BTW.

#1 was the fupa guy I was talking about in some thread. Our D looked like they were running in sand.
 
Somebody ****ing say what fupa means!? Because I’m almost sure you’re not talking about the FUPA acronym that I know because that would make zero sense in this context

That was a great performance. OT on running QB's, probably one of the biggest heart-breaker games was 2006 @ #9 GA, up 13-0 we chased Matthew Stafford out of the game, and Freshman Joe Cox came in throwing two td's to win 14-13. It was Hawklove's 1st year, we went 2-10 and had no business even being in the game, but the D kept coming up huge, then the quiet ride back from Hotlanta.

Still that Sat. afternoon v. UoA when we knocked out Dawkins on the 1st series, only for Tate to come in with an S on his chest was the best running performance, I have ever seen. We hardly even touched the guy. He had a special frosh year, as other teams had trouble even touching the guy. Then he did us two years later with his arm.

I liked Reesing as a player ( not against us obvs). Something about Chase Daniel kinda rubbed me the wrong way though I concede the Gary Pinkel era at Mizzou is aging very well. Respect.

I kind of have neg feelings about Mizzou in general growing up a Big 8 kid. Not sure why and ya know Barney and Mac played for Dan Devine. So, a lot of CU success from the Devine tree.

I was a bigger hoops fan than most CU fans as a kid.....maybe I'ts a Norm Stewart thing.

Mizzou always rubbed me wrong from the Old Big 8 Big12 days. Hated that greaseball slick haired Quin Snyder. Then again, I've got a family full of Jayhawks and Wildcats.

anyway, as a hoops fan both (Mizzou) tigerboard and hornfans.com (before TJ Ford)* were good conference hoops talk inna day. from a lot of fans and when the internet wans't yet so stupid or impossible dating girls from the Ukraine.

however, the rumor was Quinn was a total coke head at Mizzou and hooked up with Linus Kleiza's gf. his players were bad people.....which is funny for a Saint Coach K guy.

I guess Q has got it together and a family man etc. NBA coach.

*after TJ Ford, hornfans was the usual UT circle jerk.
