same old Pinkel, give up 255 yards rushing.
Except for when he plays us
just saw the highlight of this. what a ****ing joke letting that guy score like that. Nice tackling SDSU
Mizzery is just BAD this year. It's amazing to me that with the recruiting classes they've brought in they still can't field a defense. Anyone with a running game is going to destroy them this season. Illinois ran all over them and nearly won and they SUCK. aTm, NU, and OU are going to rush for 300+ against them and they could easily lose to ISU, KSU, and CU if their respective backs are on their game.

CU is going to get abused by Missouri. Hawkins doesn't have the first damn idea how to play that team. He's used the same strategy (if you can call it that) all four years. He'll do the same thing again. I'm convinced he doesn't actually watch film of upcoming opponents.
Mizz is a mystery because Pinkel's an establishment there - but not in a good way, I suspect. He's able to sign long-term recruits (ones that he's cultivated from camps for years) and he's able to snag a few last-minute nowhere-else-to-go ones - and pretty good ones, like Chase Daniels out of north Texas when he heard his #1 choice had signed other QBs, so Chase fled to Mizzou. This was considered a coup for Pinkel at the time, and Daniels looked good in his Soph and Jr seasons, but his Sr year was less-than-impressive. Almost a "familiarity breeds contempt" syndrome - as if the QB was blaming Pinkel for not supplying him with more help, and Pinkel & Team knew Daniels' "head case" playing style.
I don't understand how this program has been so incredibly mediocre for so long, and never made it as a legitimate year-in year-out contender. KState and Neb have fallen and risen so easily - all on the comings and goings of a coach. But Mizz can't get over that mediocre lull.
I think they're beatable every year when teams get up for them. But I have too much faith in Coach Hawkin's coaching skills to give CU much of a chance without a lot of Mizz help.
