Why the hell does your coach feel the need to go for it on 4th down so damn early in the game??!!! Let alone at the worst field postion ever! :wow:
great effort in the comeback attempt, however...
bama is fast. CU was better conditioned and it showed as the game wore on, but the tide had more athletes and a huge lead.
ah well... the future looks pretty bright.

Oh come on, that was a 4th and 1 in opponent's territory. I'm not going to knock any coach for running a fake punt there

The 4th down calls are getting old. Play field position every once in a while.
Overall, I was happy to see the team fight back. We need to get back to being a grind-it-out running team though to be successful. On defense, we need major help at safety.
Why was Hawk upset after the last play of the game? The TV showed him going after the Ref. Anybody have an heads up on what he was upset about?
Did he ever make it to mid field to shake hands?
while i agree we need more help in the secondary, our lack of athletes at lb this year was a killer. we didn't get any help in coverage from them.
One other area that needs to be addressed in the offseason is kick coverage. The kickoffs are not deep and we miss a lot of tackles. You cannot spot the opposing team good field position constantly and expect to win.

(especially when you've got replay available to go over anything questionable after the fact).
I'm pretty sure it's because the ref blew the play dead before he was supposed to. If you watch it again, a ref starts blowing his whistle after the pitch that Ellis made (I think it was Ellis, it was the one that looked like it might be a forward lateral), while the play was still completely alive.
Obviously, if it was a forward lateral the game would have pretty much been over right then and there, but if a Bama player had picked up a facemask penalty later on the penalties would have offset and CU would have had another down. All in all, I think he had a legit beef, though a somewhat piddling one: Perhaps a flag should have been thrown, but the play shouldn't have been blown dead when it was (especially when you've got replay available to go over anything questionable after the fact).

I'm
ALL THE NEGATIVES? WHAT THE HELL AM I TALKING ABOUT?? All the dumbass double misdirection flanker trap play crap really has GOT to go. I know the announcers were saying tonight that it's the biggest thing in CFB this year. I really don't care. It simply takes too long to develop, especially on a night like tonight when Bama was getting inside penetration. They have been trying to run that all year and it has hurt them much more consistently than resulting in a play. That wrinkle really needs to be ironed out of the offense over the offseason.
So, when's the next game?? :gobuffs:

Isn't Ryan Walters a safety?
I don't think we're hurting there, unless you mean depth wise.
DE needs help, but I'm excited to see Herrod and Obi start playing.

You need to teach you kick returners not to catch with their head too. :smile2:
We've been practicing with the ladie's soccer team. Thats a new play we've come up with. Pretty effective, I thought. It got us 6 or 7 yards on the return.
LOL.. good one!
