Did Bohn want that situation with Patton? I'm sure it was a case of CU refusing to let him pay a buyout for a basketball coach. Most of my criticisms of Bohn are about instances where he allowed himself to get pushed around instead of confronting people/decisions and drawing a line in the sand.

You may have insight that I don't, but it was clear that Patton was a dead man walking. I didn't - and still don't - understand the reasons why, but that could explain it. Bohn was Boulder guy, seemed to love it here, but always seemed over his head in this job. I was stunned when USC hired him.

There's some of that. I also think that his numbers are a bit deceiving. A lot of his points don't come in critical times of games. He isn't a leader. He's a poor shooter. He is a poor defender and likes to hover around 28 feet from the basket on offense. There's a laziness to his game that I don't like.

I think that Rancik compares very similarly to sophomore Da Silva.

Agreed. He gone for sure and I don't think there's a damn thing Tad can do about it.

The big thing with TDS, is he always shot a high percentage on 2’s. Rancik needs to at least get his 2 point percentage over 50

Rancik has a much higher usage rate as a Sophomore than TDS did, which is why his totals are better

Right if TDS got asked to do what Rancik has been then his efficiency probably would have looked similar as a sophomore.

Think they profile similarly just think TDS had more in his bag, Euro, step through, crazy finishes off pivots versus Rancik when he attacks off the dribble goes up or shoots over guys not that he can’t add another move or two just think some of that came more naturally to TDS. Rancik does get to the line at a higher clip though!
