I listened to the NC Orange Bowl game in my first day in theater (Desert Shield) over Armed Forces Radio.

yeah, you could have heard a pin drop in the Kitterige(sp?) Cafeteria when CNN carried their first coverage of Desert storm. We were staying there for pre-season camp because the Pigskin classic was 1 week earlier than the normal regular season opening weekend and the college inn couldn't take us yet. nobody was talking or joking. Everyone watching soliders unload and deploy.

I got out with my graduate degree in Dec of 90 and I am beyond 40. I was thinking about this yesterday as they were talking about the 20th anniversery and showing highlights. All of the kids in the student section had no recollection of that great period in CU history.....and then I felt really old! lol
