The Prestige at PGA West

The #80 men's golf team is in action starting today through Wednesday at the Prestige at PGA West tournament in La Quinta, CA. This is going to be another very tough field for the Buffs as they will face six top-15 teams: No. 2 UCLA, No. 6 Washington, No. 8 USC, No. 13 TCU, No. 14 Stanford, No. 15 Oklahoma State, No. 39 Texas Tech, No. 47 Arizona State, No. 58 Oregon, No. 60 San Diego State, No. 63 UC Davis, No. 80 Colorado, No. 96 Fresno State, Pepperdine, University of Stirling (Scotland) and Chico State (individual only).

The 13th Prestige at PGA WEST marks the first time that this pre-eminent major collegiate tournament is being held during a "high season" time period. having moved from October to February 17th - 20th. Under normally some of the most beautiful February weather in the world, the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley Area annually attracts many of its three million annual visitors during this time period. The 2013 Prestige at PGA WEST will return to the Greg Norman Course at PGA WEST site of some great moments in Prestige tournament history. The Greg Norman Course and PGA WEST as the “home of Golf in the WEST” perfectly complement a great field of major universities, amongst the best in the nation. The 2013 Prestige at PGA WEST salutes the great players who have played in the past 12 Prestige golf tournaments and have gone on to distinguish themselves on the professional golf level.
