Top 25 & Other Hoops Games - Week 12

NC State knocked off #15 Miami.

The ACC is starting to take shape even though the vast majority of key games are yet to be played. Currently UNC is on 0 losses, Louisville 2, UVA, Miami 3 and so on. Given the way things are headed though, it's likely to shake out with UNC in 1st, UVA 2nd, Louisville and Miami some combo of 3rd and 4th, Duke and ND some combo of 5th and 6th. The Heels have had a very favorable schedule so far and will drop some games (especially if Paige keeps slumping) but it's going to be hard for anyone to catch them.

Even if OU wins the Big XII is getting put in its place by the SEC in a bunch of these games. Looks like the Big XII got overhyped a bit (wouldn't be the first time)

Holy crap! The last minute and a half has been incredible ... Hield and Simmons having a 3 point contest.

That may be the one we look back on as to why Simmons and LSU are in the NIT. Instead of being 14-7 with an RPI of 60 with a monster win for the resume, they're 13-8 with their RPI at 82. Of course there's time for LSU to make a move still, but that's a damn big difference.

You don't think much of Pitt.

You don't think much of Pitt.

I'm exactly where most people are regarding Pitt out here: NCAA Tournament team that can win a game. Haven't done anything to warrant a ton of praise thus far. Nice record, but very weak OOC. Notre Dame and Syracuse are decent wins, but not elite. They've got UVA, UNC, Miami coming up. Win some.
