Transfer Portal is Open

Elijah Malone Visiting Boulder this weekend. Though I wouldn’t have picked a Division II (Baskin) & NAIA (Malone) for 2 of 3 transfers- he does seem to meet needs for a 5-Spot:

-Good size, not only looks like he tries to dunk everything in the paint, looks surprisingly nimble on drives?
-Stretch-ability: 37% from 3Pt / 80% at line/ over 60% from field. Only 25 min. / game- but was on #1 NAIA team- so hope he can run for long stretches & isn’t foul prone?
-Assuming he can play D? Let’s hope he doesn’t want to stay home in Indiana!

Future starter at 5-spot?-As Dak may still need weight & experience? I will say a lot riding on getting Trent Perry as ‘24 frosh?

I think Tad may go for Best available player over point guard (after we get 5-Spot?)- if Cody goes to NBA? Trusting in Julian at Pt for 1 year doesn’t seem too far-fetched, with all the combo G’s we have to back him up?

Best available (realistically?) in portal:
Big/F: Baye Fall
Scoring guard: Davonte Davis
Point Guard: Ty-Laur Johnson
Wing: Leon Bond III
BigWing: 6’9 Andre “AJ” Casey
??????
There’s going to be talent left on Portal Table by June, but I’m sure Tad wants guy before?

What's the Colorado connection with GT?

Between Ndongo last year, and now Onwechekwu, O'Brien, and Sutton...that's rour guys in their last two classes who played high school or college ball in Colorado, and one guy who was committed to CU for a long time.

Dallas Walton (edit: or was that Wake Forest?)

It's a great school, in a very cool city, in a great conference with a dynamic up-and-coming coach. Simples.

Good to see he follows several Buffs on IG, including Baskin
