Montez is not rattled, he is just over throwing every ball. Why are we not running still??? Panic by our OC after score changes.
 
Montez not following through on his throws, everything is high. He has had open receivers and just missed.
 
Lol and almost have another punt blocked.

Maybe it's time to retire that dumbass formation.

I believe he has the ability to be a great QB, but he came out of HS as just an athlete playing QB. His arm talent is top 5 in the NCAA, but does he have the brains and maturity and will he get the coaching it takes to become a great QB? Montez can be Darnold next year. Coaching, play calling, and mature learning must happen.

When a QB is off and is over throwing, make the throws more simple with RB and WR screens until he calms down. Also use some back shoulder throws.
 
I swear, our defense actively practices throwing their shoulder into the ball carrier without using their arms. There's no way this happens on such a consistent basis unless they are being told "ok, on this drill, pretend like both your arms are broken" or something.

Sure tackling with proper form is one of those things that is absolutely NOT based on athletic ability, so Mac can't even blame the players for that. It's one of those things that is supposed to be taught

On another note, I love Fatty Edwards, #9....solid player.
On yet another note, Our D is winded.

Maybe put Montez at TE/WR and have Noyer take over.
