USC's Hammer finally falling

I think you're missing the point of "lack of institutional control". It's the schools job to know that this kind of thing is going on. It's their responsibility to monitor it and are ultimately responsible when it does.

Kinda how I see it. Aren't there ncaa rules forbidding contact between current athletes and sports agents? And if true, aren't the student/athletes supposed to report those incidents or attempts? It seems that it is the responsibility of the school to inform/educate the athletes on ncaa rules, etc., and that the school's compliance officials should be leading these efforts.
