Way Too Early Bowl Predictions

The big gift from the Cheez It Bowl recently is a Fossil watch lol.

Fossil---the watch even the 11 year old in you doesn't want.

They should shoot for Alamo, $425 Amazon GC.

Actually on further review, it seems almost every bowl gives a Fossil watch which kind of makes it even worse as for some it's like the 3rd best thing you receive.

Obviously want the best bowl possible but any bowl will serve as a reward and confirmation for the hard work the players have put in and be a solid indicator to potential recruits that the program is moving the right direction.

It's one thing to say the program is getting better, it's another to have tangible proof.

Getting there this year is critical for this process-Next year's OOC is as tough or more so than this one will be. Fresno is no cupcake, and Jimbo Fisher will be in year 3 in Aggieland.

McMurphy: Virginia in the Music City Bowl

CBS: UCF in the Birmingham Bowl

Bleacher Report: Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl (yuck)

College Football News: NC State in the Quick Lane Bowl (Detroit)

USA Today: Iowa State in the Texas Bowl

ESPN (two writers): Utah State in the Las Vegas Bowl; Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl (yuck)

247 Sports: Marshall in the First Responders Bowl (Dallas)

Athlon Sports: No bowl


Music City or Texas Bowl would be fun. Birmingham Bowl, not so much.

One of my former students nearly got me killed the last time I was in Birmingham. Would rather not return.
