I don't know if anyone is watching this but I've been going back and forth between this and football. Buffs are down 28-17 with just over 7 minutes left in the first half.

CU ladies must have had a kansas st. type schedule in the non-conference season, because they aren't showing the same ability against the conference. Wow, ranked 21st and only 1-4 in conference. Quite the let down.

Buffs are looking better to start the second half and have cut the lead to 42-37 just over 3 minutes in.

Buffs can't seem to buy a basket and are fouling constantly. Over half of UDubs first half points came from free throws. Ever since 5 minutes to go in the Cal game, this team has not played well. They lost the 10 point lead they had over Cal, giving that game away, then faced Stanford pretty strong but played horrible Friday against Wazzu and aren't looking good yet today either.

Pulled within 1 and then allowed a 17-4 run over the next 6 minutes? Jeez. It's just sad what has happened to this team.

They would look good for a short stretch to make it close, then the wheels would fall off.

No doubt the women are struggling now, but it's really hard to figure why everything seems to have gone wrong at the same time. No rebounding, flat on offense, sporadic defending, etc. Losing Chucky hurt, but they have been able to hang with some talented teams this season and of course had only one loss coming into conference play.

Two things have happened consistently this season, they give up a double digit lead and either lose or the last few minutes are tight or they go down by double digits, get the lead back and promptly lose it. This smacks of a lack of mental toughness to me. The one player that perhaps could have helped in this department is Ky Weston who left during the summer due to homesickness. But it's hard to know as she didn't get a ton of playing time last season.

At this point the NCAA tourney seems completely out of the question. Perhaps they'll make the WNIT if they can figure out how to beat the bottom feeders.
