With Simmons in all probability gone, and Simas suspended, and McKnight (!) our best WR, we should move Brian Lockridge out to WR. He's got good hands and is great in space. If nothing else, he gives us a 4.4 guy out on the edge and the defense will have to respect his speed. As currently constituted, we don't have anyone outside that the defense has to worry about going deep.
I know Hawk is talking about playing Lock and Speedy in the slot some this year, and that's a good idea, but I think Lock could be better utilized full time at WR. He's at best our #3 TB (behind Speedy and Scott, and arguably behind Sumler) but he would have a legit shot at starting at WR for us.
[As an aside, is it just me, or are all CU WR's facing the QB when the throw is made? Is this a product of our playcalling, our short QB, the fact our WRs can't get downfield, or something else? CU's offense -- all hooks, alll the time.]
