KAPALUA, Hawaii – A challenging second day at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic saw the University of Colorado women’s golf team slip one spot to sixth place.
The No. 49 ranked Buffaloes added two strokes here Tuesday, shooting 15-over par 303. Colorado is just one stroke from breaking back into the top five, holding a 301-303—604 (28-over par) scorecard at the par-72, 6,022-yard The Bay Course at Kapalua.
“We started out well and hung in there pretty well,” CU head coach Anne Kelly said. “I think we were in about third position for a little while. We finished off on the ocean holes and the wind really picked up and we just couldn’t handle it too well. It was pretty disappointing.
