Thought I'd start this consolidated pre- and regular-season thread now, as the team has released their schedule for the 2019/20 academic year.

Although the "real" NCAA and Pac 12 Championship season is in the spring, they compete in the same number of tournaments (not including post season) in the fall. I plan on us using this thread for all women's golf news and results until the Pac 12 championships get their own thread; they are scheduled for April 24-26 at Stanford's course.

Best wishes to the team for a great year!

BOULDER — University of Colorado women's golf coach Anne Kelly announced the team's 2019-20 schedule on Friday, which will feature five fall events and five spring events leading into the postseason.

The Buffaloes are set to open the campaign at the SMU Trinity Forest Invitational, September 9-10, in Dallas, Texas. The two-day event will feature 36 holes on the first day and then conclude with the final 18-hole round on day two.

The spring season will kick off February 10-11 with the Lamkin Invitational, which is hosted by San Diego State University. This is the first match play competition of the season for CU, and is the first since the spring of 2018. One week later, CU will compete at the Rebel Beach Invitational, Feb. 17-18, in Las Vegas.

Buffs finished 6th in the 14 team tournament.

Congrats to them, and especially senior Kirsty Hodgkins for her great tournament.

The team is having to tough it out on the Big Island of Hawaii as they compete the next few days in what should be a challenging "Pac 12 Preview" tournament.

Another of CU's top sports moments of 2019, this time related to women's golf. (As was pointed out in another thread regarding another moment, looks like the text below the picture is about another sport (MBB).)

Congrats to the Buff senior! (Hope she carries the play throughout this coming season.)

The team starting its main (spring) season in Rancho Santa Fe, CA today.

(Buffs, short senior leader Kirstie Hodgkins, are down short of the half-way mark (looks like scores of the 5 matches are through 6-9 holes) of their 1st match 0-3-2 to Central Arkansas (per https://www.birdiefire.com/tournament/62907/match/team/339/.)

Also, congrats to a couple #ForeverBuffs for good finishes at an LPGA tourney in Australia! (Looks like Ms. Choi finished in a tie for 6th, while Ms. Coleman tied for 26th.)

Looks like the young Buffs (3 freshmen and 2 sophomores (one a redshirt) are playing today) move to the consolation bracket of the San Diego State hosted tournament in a tough fashion, as they don't advance on what must have been a tie-breaker, as the 1st round match with Central Arkansas shows ending up in a 2-2-1 tie. (I occasionally was checking up on the leader board, and the Buffs fell behind in 4 of the 5 matches (in 3 cases by 3 or 4 holes), but came back pretty strong to earn the tie.)

Looks like they've started their next match, and it's all tied VERY early (after 0-3) holes as they face off against UC-Irvine. (Leaderboard for this match- https://www.birdiefire.com/tournament/62907/match/team/343/ )

(VERY early at this point, but doesn't look like the Buffs have gotten off to a great start, as they're +5 and in 9th (out of 11 teams) with the team members having finished between 4-8 holes of the 1st round. This looks like it has at least a somewhat easier field than last week's tournament, as the only ranked team participating per the leaderboard is #3 USC. Again, with the tourney having 3 rounds (2 today), still a lot of time to get it together.)
