WOW: RIP Rashaan Salaam (funeral service on Fri 12-9)

Horrible. Shocked and saddened, I too, remember Salaam turning it up the sideline to pass 2000 yards...one of my favorite moments as a fan at Folsom.

So sad.
What a great Buff. Was really exciting to watch him play.
Way, way too young.

Had season tickets back in those days. Saw his home games, bowl games.

RIP Rashaan. Also wondering if CTE had anything to do with this. So tragic and sad. Condolences to his family.

Oh my god. This is so terrible. Another person whom I admired as a youngster has passed away this year. **** **** **** ****

Rashaan was a great football player, but much more importantly he was a good guy. When I met him as a kid, and as an adult, he was just a laid back guy. Very humble and easy to talk to. Rest in Peace Mr. Salaam, and thank you.

He went to the same High School (La Jolla Country Day) as my oldest son....he had a small shrine room dedicated to his accomplishments. Very sad day.....he was very active in helping the school after he graduated.

That is such a shock, thoughts and prayers to the Salaam family, if I remember correctly not highly touted out of I believe San Diego Country Day and I seem to recall he played 8-man in High school. What a great college player he was, once he got going north and south just glided down the field.

RIP Rashaan. I still have my paper 2,000 sign and program from the ISU game.

I believe I still have his rookie card in a case. Such a tragedy.

Please call someone if you need help, one of my favorite quotes for tough times is "everything is figureoutable".
