Hey C'ville,

When you guys beat Oregon last how did Kazemi do? Keeping that f*cker from the Boards is one of the keys to the game IMO...

Sorry, didn't see a game thread yet so I thought I'd ask here...

Kazemi was pretty effective at hitting the boards against us, but most of his damage was done early IIRC. He had 11 boards the first time around, including 5 on offense. Played 34 minutes, was held to 6 points (usually gets around 9 or 10 per game). Our game at Oregon was nearly identical to your game at Oregon in terms of score. Buffs won 48-47, were down for the entire game, including 7 with 3 minutes left, but just kept hanging around and finally took the lead with 23 seconds left and hung on for dear life.

Ok with all this talk of Shabazz going to the NBA... he should be taking games like this over. I just don't see it.

Well, now we've got Wazzu 3-14, Oregon State and Utah both 3-13

Oregon 12-4, Cal and UCLA 12-5 (Cal playing Stanford now)

And Mr. Walton is calling the Trees vs Bears game. ugh. The Pac-12 is so crazy this year.

Also I have a feeling that cal loses tonight, then goes cold down the stretch.

Stanford came to play at Cal. Not surprised. Close one thus far (late first half).

USC and Washington just underway in Seattle. This one is important for CU (USC 9-7, UW 8-8)

Colorado State up big at Wyoming late.

Air Force just getting underway at San Diego State

So this is tough b/c these teams have only beat each other
right now, WSU 3-14 with 1 gm left (USC @ home)
OSU, 3-13 left @UT, @CU
Utah, 3-13 left @OSU, OU

I'm going to call it and say WSU loses to USC, Utah wins vs osu and loses vs UO and cu beats OSU
That would leave it like this:

Wazzu: 3-14
OSU: 3-15
UTAH 3-14 (TB Over OSU)

I think that utah would be "top dog" in that case, because the p12 tb's go to the team w the best record vs the teams at the top, and like no one can forget, utah beat us, but UCLA will finish ahead of us. that gives wazzu tb over utah, leaving us as the potential 5 to play the beavs as the most likely 12?

OSU only has a quality win (In pac12 eyes) vs wash, if things go like they should we will pull them in the 5-12 game. On a neutral court, shouldnt be too bad - I'm guessing CU fans pack the MGM (?) and beavers stay home b/c they dont have much to root for.

Sure, we should beat Oregon State in the 5/12 game. However, it's tough to beat a team 3 times, especially when you have to play them back to back for the 2nd and 3rd. I would be a bit concerned -- recall what happened to us against Texas Tech in 2010 where we beat them the final regular season game, and then turned around and played them right again and lost in the Big XII tournament. Even with Wazzu's win tonight, they're the opponent I'd feel most comfortable about of those three. However, the bottom line is if we can't beat Oregon State, Wazzu or Utah on a neutral court, then we have deep issues.

Yep Cal is now in serious foul trouble. Solomon with 4 and 16min left. Stanford up 10. Crazy night in the PAC

I honestly did not come away particularly impressed with Cal when we played them either time. Their defense was outstanding the second time, but there was nothing about their overall performance that had me going "whoa! these guys are unbeatable". They are due for a loss. Unfortunately we had one of those days and couldn't deliver, but this really doesn't shock me. Stanford occasionally shows up and plays really solid games. Plenty of time left, though.

Agreed c'ville - we pulled utah last year 3 times and won all the games. I'd feel more comfortable vs wazzu too, but b/c utah & osu play each other, I dont know if theres a way possible we'd pull wazzu, w/o buffs losing to the beavs.

Buffs up to 24th in RPI.

This will do wonders for ESPN's BPI as well, as BPI is extremely heavily weighted on margin of victory (too much so)

Oregon now 49th. Good it stays top 50 (although they can crash and burn for all I care)

BPI adjusts for missing key players too. This should be a huge game for BPI.

Couple of CU opponents get underway in their conference tournaments tomorrow:

Wofford vs Georgia Southern (SoCon 1st Round, Asheville)

Murray State vs Eastern Kentucky (OVC Semifinal, Nashville)

ESPN has last night's game as our best BPI performance of the year and bumped them from 38 to 34 in the BPI rankings.

Just don't **** it up against Oregon State. The way this year has gone, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Probably won't matter in terms of getting in, but don't give the committee any ammo, plus it could help with tourney seeding in a big way.

I'd tend to think that a win against OSU tomorrow not only seals up our bid (if it's not already) but it should also keep us clear of any danger of playing in the stupid "first" round.

I'd love to see some big 10 teams too. The ladies played Illinois this year, that would be an awesome team to schedule. Minny would be good because the travel doesn't seem too difficult.

I think Tad is going to bring a great balance to our scheduling. So happy those Ricardo extra frosty cupcakes are gone.
There were plenty of those games that they seemed to lose.
