'14 CO ATH Kalen Ballage (Signed to Arizona State)

Maybe. Kalen doesn't want to play defense and they are stacked with young RB talent, though.

I really think this is between ASU and CU.
Was about to say almost the same thing. I haven't read he is 100% opposed to playing some snaps on the defensive side of the ball but I have read that he is adamant he wants to primarily play offense/running back. At least some of these top athletes want playing time instead of just being a number on a bowl-bound team.

We can get to a bowl and sooner rather than later if we close on some of these big time prospects as we just did with Fields. Kalen could be a centerpiece to us taking that next step.

Hopefully Fields will contact Kalen and nudge him towards CU. :). We would love to see you in the Black and Gold Kalen! Boulder is a special place.

Ballage is all in on playing RB.... but UCLA's success with Jack and Barr is hard to ignore

CU should be using the same pitch on Ballage.
The difference is Ballage would have the opportunity to make a bigger impact at his the University of Colorado in front of family and friends. The depth chart at both RB and LB is perfect for Ballage to come in right away. It would be great to watch Ballage, Powell and Adkins pounding the ball on O and then Gillam, Rippy, and Ballage shutting down opponents on D.
Come on Kalen, help the good guys return this program to the top 25.

This speaks volumes: Jack: "Rated by rivals.com as the No. 16 outside linebacker in the nation" for the class of 2013. Really?

Could you imagine Kalen lining up with Addison at linebacker and then taking pitches out of the backfield or lining up in the slot on offense? I can, and it's amazing..come to Boulder Kalen !!!

without reading all 31 pages, Ballage is a verbal to ASU with others trying to get into the mix.

Is there any evidence that he is still considering CU or are we at the unicorns and miracles stage with him?

Other than he officially visited and is a soft verbal to ASU? You could have read the last two pages and found what you're looking for.

Either last page or the page before, a family member said that there is a chance. A lot of family wants him to stay home. A couple of in-home visits as well.

It's about time we were on the receiving end of one of these kids deciding at the last minute to stay close to home.

Pabuff-esque.

He has been to CU unofficially four times along with an official visit. Not expecting him to be a Buff, but we are in the conversation

I was afraid that was the case, outside looking in at best.

It was mentioned earlier but I agree, I think this boils down to CU and UCLA at the wire..... Just a hunch of course. Impact on our program greater and more immediate.

Kalen will be successful regardless, but immensely hopeful he is a Buff soon!
