I have always been a fan of avila's but it makes it a little more special that one of the daughters went to CU and owns this one. Plus, it is a good excuse to spend an afternoon on the Peninsula.

Yep, I've met her and her dad and they love the Buffs. She was in the same sorority at Boulder (Pi Phi) that my daughter is in now.

Going to have to wait until tomorrow. More of a 9-5/ gonna-get-paid-for activity.
My son flies out Saturday morning, but he has yet to go to a game this season anyway so he won't be missed. The bad thing is that his flight gets in 15 minutes after kickoff so I guess it will be Tivo time for this game. Is it bad to tell your son who you haven't seen for 3 months to call Uber when he gets in?

I've had to miss the beginning of a few games - just text your friends/family to tell them that under no circumstances are they to text/call you until you contact them after the game. Seems to have worked for me anyway.

Some people just don't like sports, I don't associate with those sorts of people.
That's what I keep asking him. He says he always has stuff to do for school, and his GPA is way higher than mine ever was, so I can't complain. He does seem to find time to hit the after game parties though......

FANTASTIC!!! In related news, there are only 8 sections with medium availability on the Utah map. Which is great with still 8 days to go. When Colorado wins on Saturday, that stadium is going to be insane.
about two months of training family and friends, with a one-week training refresher at the start of the following football season, was required as I moved to watching all my sports on "DVR time".

But I need to text during games and it comes from different family and friend groups. To my non-CU friends (that's an oxymoron) I'm the "CU guy" so a random text from someone I didn't think to warn about the no text rule can blow it up for me. It's funny, when we sucked, this text problem was never there and I rarely watched the games live, always DVR. Now I HAVE to watch live
