UCLA Game Week -- Official Thread (8:30 on ESPN2)

If Montez got his ass beat last week, the rest of the O should feel it this week. The drops killed us. The fake fg was just trying to bail the WRs out. This O line and WRs need their asses beat so hard they still feel it next Saturday when they line up on the first snap.

Montez threw the ball to two pretty damn good receivers right in the goddamn chest and they dropped it. 14 points right there and this is our game and Mora gets fired.

RELAX. This was probably a 6-7 win team.....next two are big though. We've gotta beat both Arizona and the rodents. That puts us one win away from bowl eligibility going into that game with the Cougars in three weeks. We gotta get those 15 extra practices first and foremost.

We won't beat either AZ school. Probably OSU. 4 win season. Book it.

I would be curious to hear from someone who knows WR play better than I. The only two guys I see gaining separation are Laviska and JMac and those are not the two fastest guys on the team. I have to wonder if focus and effort are a problem for our veteran wide outs.

Bench the entire online, pull the red shirts and start playing next year's o line. This one has cost us at least this game, and will cost us more.

No chance we make a bowl, so why not get a head start for next year

I'm pretty sure focus and effort are a problem for large portions of the offense.

i think we'll see 3-4 more wins. we should win the next 2. then, between cal, asu, and the chance we upset someone, there are a couple more wins out there.

the staff needs to go find some unicorns to shore up this d-line for next year.

I thought Lindgren was really good tonight.

Penalties on 3 big runs (1 for a TD). 4 serious drops (2 on TD passes). OL played like **** in the 1st half. Despite that, moved the ball.

We lost this one because of horrible execution.
Third down. UCLA 9/16. CU 4/16.

The no-call on the helmet to helmet on our last real possession could have changed the outcome as well. I guess its ok if they do it to our guy.

If Mac is ready to take the next step, then he FIRES Lindgren based on the last 17 games of football as a whole. UCLA had the WORST defense in the entire FBS, and we had multiple 3 and outs, and no red zone plan whatsoever. He is not qualified and there is a reason he was demoted to Co-OC. The only next step is either only a QB coach or Fired.

UCLA (and every other team) can say the same things ... I recall a blatant dropped pass on an open crossing route for them in the 4th quarter ... fact is, good teams execute, bad teams don't. Pretty simple.

Anyone blaming Lindgren for this game, or any game this year is clueless. For the most part I thought he had a great game plan. We can't execute ourselves out of sink hole at times, imo.

I blame this loss squarely the head coach. That fake fg was not needed.

Very frustrating game. Gonna have to drink that much more now! ;)

The good news is that we weren't physically beat. We weren't beat by a talent disparity. Mistakes and poor execution will be cleaned up as the year goes on.

The bad news is that we won't see many defenses this bad.

I don’t think they are a good team. Or a bad team. They are a middling team missing real, tangible on-field leadership.
