Official ****braska Hate Thread

Frosty gifs that seem like an appropriate cap to this fine, fine Nebraska meltdown weekend.

Dozens of corn fans have tweeted at Callier accusing him of “twisting” their QBs leg after the play was over, and are threatening him with physical violence. Callier has since made his twitter private. I’ve watched the replay with my neutral glasses on and just don’t see it. And Landman’s hit was well before the whistle. They are so f***ing delusional.
This team is getting the hate we all have. Not true or cool

I’m still a relatively new fan. I didn’t start following the Buffs or college football in general until about 2013 when Mac came on board. I didn’t have the Nebraska hate because I hadn’t been a part of the rivalry.

Now: I hate those guys.

What a bunch of sad, pathetic losers to attack Callier because he made a tackle. They’re showing video of the tackle and screen shots and presenting it as if it were somehow evidence of a dirty play. He. Made. A. Tackle.

I guess Husker fans don’t recognize a tackle unless it happens out of bounds of involves helmet to helmet contact.

Too lazy to post it now, but there was a very similar tackle made on Shenalt

Edit: nvm here it is:

That's why a win over the Nubs is so satisfying. Like with any fanbase including ours, there are the classy ones and the not so classy ones and then you got a fanbase that labels themselves the greatest fans in college football. They have to deal with being called out by opposing fanbases.

Having said that, I hope Martinez is okay.

Again, this doesn’t help. HIS NAME IS EVERYWHERE, but thanks for leaving his name out.

People are DMing him as well.

Yeah, they are being as nasty as you can imagine. Wishing him injury, threatening to kick his ass, etc. Doesn’t help when their ****ing writers encourage it.

I honestly don't know what they're seeing. Wrap, roll and don't let go until the whistle has blown. That's how you're supposed to tackle. Was a basic football play. I'll be embarrassed if Colorado fans ever react the way Nebraska fans have and will call them out if it happens. I don't care about being classy or appropriate -- I care about not acting like a bunch of pvssies.

My theory on the online behavior of Nub fans is that they are forced by their culture to be totally fake in how they act in person, so they take out all their bottled up angst behind the anonymity of the internet. It makes them the worst fans in the country in that online environment.

All players who injure other players in football should be suspended for the length of time the injury prevents the injured player from participating in football. It’s a reasonable suggestion. I mean, the part where the suspension is correlated to the length of time the other player is injured.

I know that “retarded” is not a sensitive or acceptable term, but...

Thank you Husker fans! You just guaranteed that your team is going to now go on the road next year against a very pissed off Colorado team, because you made it personal with our players. Well done!

1) Hope AM straps it on for Troy and the rest of the season. He’s a baller. 2) Injuries suck, but are unfortunately part of the game. More so for unproven running QBs in their first college start.
3) That was not the cheapest hit of the game. The jury is out whether it was even a dirty tackle at all. Should the NCAA ban defenders from wrap and roll?
4) Before knocking CU’s player, consider the full body of work from both teams, which includes 4Q helmet to helmet shot on MacIntyre, hands to the face, hits to Montez, and late uncalled hits out-of-bounds, too.
5) Our players and fans aren’t tweeting nor boasting about injuring anyone. My strong preference and that of pretty much everyone is that we wish AM didn’t get hurt, was able to finish the game, and remove any controversy.
6) Social media exposes what lurks under the facade of those polite Huskers. Sweet on the outside and bitter underneath.
7) Husker fans could let CU continue to beat them all season long, in part because Frost has depth issues at QB that has nothing to do with CU. Not having a next man up sucks.
8) That was an exciting game. A classic. Looking forward to the rest of this series.
9) It’s New Hampshire week (yeah!). Time to move on.
10). Thank you, Huskers, for your interest in Colorado Football.
