I don't know if it is coaching like the pros as much as being a big believer in complimentary football.

USC fans say there are rumors from someone close to the program/school that Pete Carroll could be coming back to coach SC for a few seasons in order to groom the next long term HC and then PC would become AD.

He can run them into the ground just like his current squak team. Yeah, he won the super bowl, but the jojo is all gone.

Wishful thinking from some fans who long for the glory days of SC football. I think they're forgetting that PC's tree gave them the illustrious tenures of Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian. It would never work. With that said, it would be the most SC thing SC could do.

Sounds like a pretty good plan depending on who the long term HC is. The only issue is that USC really needs to get away from the Pete Carroll erz, move on and go outside their little country club to find a coach but I couldn't sit here and say that is a bad hire.

If I were them, I'd go hire Jack Del Rio.

That worked so well the last time USC did this when they brought John Robinson back from the NFL for a second go-round.

It would be so USC to do this, though. :ROFLMAO:

He did beat a Gary Barnett-led Northwestern team in the Rose Bowl. But other than that, JR's second tenure at USC was unspectacular.
