Karl Dorrell officially named Colorado HC

Whoever the next coach is, they are going to have some tough games to start their career at CU.

@CSU, Fresno State, @A&M and then Oregon.

I'm personally looking forward to the A&M game as I'm a grad student there right now. Only downside is the game is in the middle of ****ing September so it's gonna feel like the game is being played on the sun.

Awesome! So we can be right back to where we were when Mac was hired in 2012 almost ten years later in 2021!
Sure as hell don’t want Logan. But he gets way too much disrespect. He never had to coach HS football but did because his dad did. Mike Shanahan said Logan knew as much about X’s and O’s as any coach on his staff. I believe that if Logan had so chosen, he’d have been a phenomenal college coach.

For my part, I just agree with him. I've been a Sark guy since his name was first mentioned.
I didn't mean to imply with my post that I'm anti-Sark. Not one bit. Given the unusually high number of likes (especially for a Jens post), and Jens's use of the word "now," I thought maybe there was something you all knew that I didn't.

A true shame we never got to see how an all I-25 HS team would do in the P12.

It had to do with rumors of a lot of people's #1 choice deciding he didn't want the opportunity. So Sark then suddenly became a lot of people's #1.

92.5 FM guys and News 4 are all over the Bielema story............so it won’t be him.

RG can't be happy with this IV being so public but we are the only open job in the sport so its not as easy to keep everything hush hush like last time

Like I told you guys, my daughter married this weekend (Awesome!). My new son-in-law’s family are all Aggie. His dad has a second home in College Station where he lives next door to R.C. Slocum. My son-in-law, however, is a Buff. He and my daughter met at CU. So his dad did something right!

Sark will always be two people. Sark and Sober Sark. I think Sober Sark might be my #1 choice of all names bandied about. I don't think Wilcox is a real candidate, his name is only floated so he can force an extension and raise.
I would just need "moderation management with the occasional night blowing the carbon out of the system" Sark to be happy with him as our coach. Just be sober at work and I'm good.

I like where your head is at....but given his obviously self destructive public displays, he seems like the guy that doesn’t know, nor will likely ever find that place. Drinking seems to likely be of the all or nothing realm for him, maybe I’m wrong, but I would like to think this guy wouldn’t want to risk it when handed the keys back again.

Edit: I am more referencing the “occasional” big night. I don’t believe he’d actually drink at work....I’d hope

I feel like I've done nothing but read about all this the past week; and that being said, I'll support anyone but Bielema. I know a lot of people associated with UW athletics, and by all accounts I don't know a single person who likes that guy. I don't know that I've ever heard one positive story, so in my small opinion he's the only one I can't get on board with. I just hope it's over soon, I hate leaving the program in limbo, and can't imagine potentially putting another school in an even worse spot than CU is in.

It was coming from here.
Other reports have stated that there has been mutual interest between CU and Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian (formerly the head coach at Washington and USC) and Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson. Former UCLA head coach Jim Mora has expressed interest in the job, as well, according to Buffzone sources.
Still not very solid, imo.

SIAP but the article does list the Johnson buyout at $75k and Kap at $50k too.
