Little early but these have usually gotten some good info in the past. Honestly, I wanted to post this tweet that made me laugh but didn’t know where to put it:

#RamGRIT? I hope that means we get good #EDGE type tweets in the near future.

I’ve made each of the last few Showdown preview threads. Idk, we get the usual “who cares” from one or two people but there’s also usually good, real discussion. There’s a few people who keep tabs on them and then there’s even a few brave enough to test the fortitude of their retinas with that monstrosity message board called RamNation.

With some of the fun in recruiting being reported for both schools, I’m legitimately interested and didn’t think it was that early. We had one in January once lol.

Ok. That gif of the kid falling back on the couch is one of my all time favorite gifs. But I can never consistently find it and I used it here like a month ago. What did you search?

“High dude on couch gif” on google image search. Used to only come up with that one but it’s dropped down to the 5th or 6th result these days. I’m nervous it will fall completely off the map before long lol.

A few years ago their Youtube campaign was called "The Grind" and was produced by "Inside the Rams" so every video said "the grind inside the rams"

Sometimes the jokes write themselves.

Should we rename this as a CSU thread like the Nebraska Hate thread?

It's way too early for the pregame.

Yes or No? If yes, what should we call it, since I'm not sure "hate" fits?
Can we just call it the 2023 CSU game thread and stop using the stupid name for the game?

We're talking about an opponent we've abused the last four times we've played them. Wasn't 2015 the last time they were within 14 or less of us?

They could be truthful but calling it the "Rocky Mountain Beatdown" doesn't sell a lot of tickets.

Just call it the CSU game. Giving it a name implies they're a rival.

They aren't, much as Sean Keeler would like them to be.
Sadly, it isn't a close rivalry but it is a rivalry. Much more for them than us but it is a game we pay attention to.

Much of that on our part is because many of us know, work with, have neighbors, etc. who have ties to CSU. It's in a way similar to our hatred for Nebraska, it happens because their fans are in our face all the time.

If/when we play a game in their stadium our fans will travel to the game, it will be on the local media.

From a standpoint of the team they shouldn't treat the game like a rivalry. They should be aware that they are going to get the very best that CSU has to offer and be ready for it.

At this point I don't care if the media or the public looks at it like a rivalry. It draws attention to our program and since we dominate it is mostly positive attention.
