Other Games 8/31 - 9/4

Even if you found this game amazing, it was one of four or five good games all weekend. My point is still valid. Outside of CU/TCU, this weekend largely sucked

The schedule was definitely subpar for opening weekend but I also think the lack of exciting games didn't help.

I can’t see that happening. You never know. But I’d rather see Clemson disappear from relevance.
I don't like Swinney. He had a Hall of Fame DC in Brent Venables (the jury's out on him as an HC, but he's a GREAT coordinator IMO), and landed two really good QBs in a row. Florida State's a weird team-they're CFP good everywhere but QB. I'm not buying Jordan Travis. I think Clemson's going to make it 8 in a row against them, but you can give me **** for that if I'm off. Will probably be paying too much attention to CU-Oregon to even care.

Another thing with Seminole fans. You know who is looking for OOC games on the dates we now have open because of the conference move in 2025 and 2027? They do. Great opportunity to call them on the **** they've talked about us. If they say no, then Prime should go on Cover 3 and tell Danny Kanell they're afraid of him. It would be awesome.

Ok, so 1 free transfer, 1 grad transfer, what about the other? Was it a hardship transfer?
I have no idea how he is playing the system, I think he is still trying to get a medical redshirt from 2019 to have yet another year of eligibility. Guy wants to be a real-life Charles De Mar and just be in college for 1/4 of his life.

You guys are weird. I don't watch sports to see "exciting games". I just want teams I like to win and teams I don't like, lose. Couldn't care less about scores or circumstances.

I'm just giving you ****-I think you're more right than anything. Outside of our game, the only other one I really enjoyed watching was Texas Tech-Wyoming. That one was fun. Last night was a dud, and Clemson's still living off what they did 3-4 years ago.

I enjoy the sport regardless of whether I have a rooting interest. When I'm watching CFB (or CBB) for the joy of the game, I prefer a close & exciting game. I don't think that's weird.

Let’s see how DJ does this year. You’re not always going to have the best QB in his draft class as your QB.

Yes, I know Mahomes was in Watson’s class but was trying to make a point.
Oh sure. DJ was set up to fail at Clemson-they fired that OC. He could very easily have a great year at OSU, and he'll easily be the best QB in the Mountain West in 2024.

The problem is there's not many teams that I don't have some sort of feeling for one way or the other. Most weeks, just about every game I have either have no interest in or there's at least one team I absolutely hate. Pretty much any Big Ten or SEC game, I'm rooting for the asteroid.

This result in the Clemson game is exhibit A for why most big P5 programs try to avoid playing a quality opponent in week 1 like the plague.

I'm pretty sure Dabo doesn't like you either....

Started at USC, transferred to UGA, then to WVU, then to Rice.
Sorry, 4 teams. But I think I was responding to someone responding to someone about “how is Daniels still able to have eligibility” but I think they were talking shot Jayden Daniels. But the response was about Kedon Slovis. It’s confusing.

Someone had mentioned Pitt as one of JT's transfers, and that was where I mentioned Slovis went to Pitt, but he was the one that took over at USC when JT tore his ACL so they probably just got USC confusion.

I'm gonna make this more about Duke.

Clemson was not an elite, traditional power. They are a good program that went on a dominant run which is ending.

Duke has done one heck of a job of turning itself into a consistently solid football team. Consecutive excellent hires of Cutcliffe and Elko.
They are an excellent program. They do a lot of things right but they are built on a QB carrying them, got lucky with Watson who wanted to go to UGA and got lucky with Trevor who wanted to play in a similar scheme to his HS offense and saw Watson success and wanted to go there. It also helps for nearly 10 years, he had WRU till Ohio State took their place. Dabo like my personal fav, David Shaw just couldn't adjust to the new era. Clem$on was the king of paying players under the table but they hate the NIL era. They just haven't adjusted.

I like FSU. I think that's the most gifted team in college football and I like Travis like I like De Laura where they are college QBs but are really good.

To me, Colorado can win it all with their offense led by Sanders but FSU can clobber Colorado. Honestly, would rather deal with Bama or UGA where you know you could potentially win a shootout. FSU got so many exceptional transfers. Their trenches is as good as anyone and they got the skill guys. Wilson, Coleman, Bell, Morlock, the backs, man. That's a stacked squad and the best money can buy and they spent a lot.

That front 4 is hell to deal with. Verse is a top 10 pick. They got probably CB3 in Cypress behind Hunter and Norman. I don't know. That squad got about 10 NFL guys and about 5 are day 1 or 2 picks. That's a contender. Thanks to the transfer portal and their pocketbooks

They got depth too. They aren't as deep as UGA or Bama but they are deeper than most teams even LSU.

All the terrible matchups should just become Pre-Season non-counting Million Dollar games when the Super League forms
We can play Northern Colorado or CSU-Pueblo and give them a Million bucks to help us work things out.

The TXST v Baylor did nothing for you? UNC v S. Car?
